The Sharper Image Electric X2 runs on a 24v Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) battery that delivers optimum performance with a load of up to 150 lbs. Recharging takes just 2 1/2 hours (depending on prior discharge) and runs for approximately 40 minutes on a full charge; average cruising range is 4 1/2 miles.
